We have some composers remaking some of the original music and it sounds amazing so far. The model mario looks weird in the video and I know for sure that it won't look like that in the finished game. No, we are using a different engine entirely and we had to remake all the animations from scratch. Thanks for taking interest in the project, I'm not on the graphical design team so although I'll try my hardest to answer your questions correctly I can't say that they are 100% accurate. It would be really fun and add a lot to the game with minimal effort. Some of those would need small animation adjustments, but for the most part just jump height tweaks and some different voice clips, all of which are readily available from games featuring those characters. I'd also love to see a small selection of other characters perhaps, like Toad/Toadette, Yoshi/Birdo and maybe even Peach/Daisy. I don't mind so much about adding the extra stars, but even if you don't change the playstyles to resemble what they were in the DS version, could you guys consider adding selectable character models that play the same? It might take some small tweaks to make taller or shorter characters play exactly the same, but as far as I can see it would only require a tiny adjustment in jump height (considering Wario and Luigi are shorter/taller than Mario) for them to be able to jump up onto the same platforms or reach the same ledges.
